I joined Townends in August 2014 after completing my A Levels at Tadcaster Grammar School. I knew that the university route was not right for me but wanted to study further, so I thought that an apprenticeship might be a better option for me.
I started at Townends as an apprentice and immediately started studying towards the AAT qualification, which I completed in March 2017.
Since completing the AAT qualification I have moved onto the ICAEW’s ACA qualification, which I aim to have completed by the end of 2019. The ACA qualification is challenging but has given me a more in-depth understanding of the subjects I have been studying.
At Townends I have been given the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, both as part of a team and on my own. I have been able to apply what I have learned in my studies to real-life situations, which has cemented my understanding.
